On Saturday October 5th, the Childrens Center of the Antelope Valley will hold it's 2nd Annual Harvest Festival at the Quartz Hill VFW Post 3000, located at 4342 West Avenue L from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Activities include arts & crafts, live entertainment, and a pumpkin patch. The VFW women's auxiliary will also be serving an authentic Octoberfest dinner starting at 5:00 pm. A live band will begin performing at 6:00pm.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the center at 661-949-1206 or going online at www.childrenscenter.av.org. Admission is $20.00 per person. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.

The Children's Center of the Antelope Valley unveiled a new pathway for patrons to support the agencies programs to prevent child abuse and neglect. On September 25, 2013, the centers "yellow brick road" was officially presented to the public. Emceeing the event was Channel 2 & 9 anchor Rick Garcia, who grew up in the Antelope Valley.
The Children' Center provides a wide range of services for victims of child abuse and their families. The Yellow Brick Road donation program is an opportunity for individuals and businesses to show their support for the center in a permanent and highly visible way.
