CHILDREN'S CENTER OF THE ANTELOPE VALLEY
MATERIAL DONATIONS GUIDELINES
We deeply appreciate the generosity of many who give in many different ways to the Center. Out of an abundance of concern for the safety and well being of the children and families we service, the Children's Center has adopted the following guidelines for material donations.
In general, the Center cannot accept anything broken, hazardous, dangerous, recalled, incomplete or which may present a health hazard. We are specifically unable to accept hats, caps, used stuffed animals, and worn out shoes. The following are more general guidelines:
CLOTHING
- Gently used clothes that are in good, clean condition without stains, rips, or tears
- Clothes need to be recently washed or dry cleaned
- Clothes need to be folded neatly and in small bags
- We appreciate items that are new or almost new especially:
- Shoes
- Coats/Sweaters
TOYS/BOOKS
- New and unopened puzzles, games, toys, stuffed animals, and art supplies
- Books in good condition for children of all ages, preschool to teens
HOUSEHOLD
- Bedspreads, blankets, and sheets, new or gently used without stains, rips, or tears. If used, the bedding should be washed.
FURNITURE
- We are not able to accept furniture donations at this time.
